Thanksgiving in the country

This past weekend I celebrated Thanksgiving with my family, it was a 3 day weekend which
was nice. On Saturday we took the ferry to a close by touristy town. First stop was the apple orchard to get some apples for homemade apple pie and apple crisp. We also picked up some but
rcup, butternut and acorn squash as well as fresh cabbage and of course pumpkins! Next stop was the local winery, it's so pretty there. We usually go at least once a year. Last but not least we went to the cheese factory. They have so many different types of cheese there. We picked up an 8 yr old cheddar, white cheddar curd, dill mozzarella (my favourite) and maple cheddar ... and some homemade butter tarts and maple fudge, YUM! Hope all my fellow Canadians had a great Thanksgiving!
